The problem
Spending heavily on paid advertising and not ranking organically for transactional terms
When Halton Stairlifts engaged with us, they were spending heavily on PPC for competitive terms such as stairlifts, stairlifts near me, buy a stairlift, how much does a stairlift cost – although this was working, when ads were turned off, potential customers couldn’t find them and the phone stopped ringing.
Additionally, the niche they operate in is old school and some of the key players have been established for hundreds of years – meaning that Google associated them with the commercial terms and made it difficult for the newer firms to gain a foothold.</p.
The solution
Carefully crafted location page strategy bolstered with authority-building
Throughout our conversations with Halton Stairlifts, it was clear to us that they needed to work with a partner who had previous experience blending local SEO with national strategies to help them win more work across the country.
When we started the campaign, we made structural changes to the website folder structure in addition to improving indexing and performance.
Once the website was in its optimal position, we combined the firm’s industry knowledge with the UK government’s data on the most densely elderly populated areas and rolled out a location page strategy that was supported by blog post creation answering the most frequently asked questions by those in the market for a stairlift.
During our content production process, we conducted multiple authority-building campaigns through Digital PR, responding to journalist requests and creating evergreen content that would naturally acquire links over time.
The result
Becoming nationally recognised and gaining coverage in 40+ new locations
The improved technical SEO, carefully crafted location pages, top-of-the-funnel content and digital PR campaigns combined have led to a 47.37% increase in organic users that has led to monthly organic leads increasing from 18 to 52 and demonstrated a significant return on investment.
After almost a year of working on the campaign, the client has become a nationally recognised stairlift company and we’ve had them featured in publications such as Tom’s Guide, Daily Express, Yahoo News UK, GB News and Liverpool Echo.
What the client has to say
I have found Quirky Digital to be experts in all aspects of SEO, their knowledge is second to none. Ben, our account manager, has looked after us from day one.
We have seen success in our organic rankings three weeks after the project started and we are completely happy. I would recommend Quirky Digital to anyone looking for a national or localised SEO company.
